The oast was used for the storage of hops, and there are cute markings in one of the bedrooms recording the hop pickers activities dating back to the mid 1700s.

Had a lovely week, and weather was good. Enjoyed the pool and all the plums and blackberries. Rekindled our love of table tennis, and enjoyed Leeds castle 5 mins away and Go Ape. Very chilled. Ducks and moorhens and squirrels also love it there.

A well equipped holiday property but let down a little bit by the kitchen tap being unsecure. The amount of cold water that had to be run off before the shower became hot. The furnishings were all very nice as were the grounds, the lakes and wildlife are fascinating.

Lovely characterful cottage. Large bedrooms, all ensuite and modern. Attractive setting with lake and wild birds. For winter lets could do with a fire/ gas stove in living room. Obviously in winter not able to take advantage of the ouside swimming pool, pool table and ping pong.
