We had a wonderful weekend break at the Sprat and Winkel. A beautifully restored 1922 railway carriage set in an idyllic location - the old Horsebridge railway station that closed in 1964.
There are wonderful walks nearby and it's a short drive to both Winchester and Salisbury.
Highly recommended!

We loved the location. In your details you said that wasn’t parking.In fact we could park just by the platform. On the whole a lovey holiday, but the oven could have been a little cleaner, and the provisions were a little sparse for the cost of the holiday.

Beautiful carriage in a beautiful spot! Pub is a 2 minute walk away. The hosts are on site and lovely, happy to use their garden for kids swing and slide. We had milk jug, butter, bread and tea etc waiting for us which is a lovely idea. Dotty the dog is adorable. Shops & days out are a drive away but short distances.
