Easy access to the main road network means that the North Yorks Moors are a short drive, whilst the coast (especially Scarborough and Whitby) is well worth a visit.
The Yorkshire Wolds offer pretty villages with good pubs serving food, and the Dales have unrivalled scenery.

Quiet location. 20 minute walk into city centre. This we found no problem as we walk a lot but others may struggle.Everything we needed was in cottage.Personally I would’ve like the owners to have introduced themselves but that just me. Can’t really fault cottage.

Ideal cottage for a couple, with parking. Very well equipped and comfy, and a pretty courtyard garden too. We walked into York in 15 minutes, but some may struggle more with this. Very good amenities just round the corner though, in Heworth village, including a lovely cafe, excellent wine bar and a Co Op

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The location is perfect for walking into York and to the local shops/pubs/chippy. Very friendly owners, and stunningly restored property. We will definitely be returning again.
