Hidden away in an elevated position overlooking the harbour, this semi-detached cottage provides excellent accommodation with magnificent panoramic views.
Set over four floors, the property is perfectly placed for enjoying this popular historic seaside town and for exploring the surrounding countryside of the North York Moors National Park.
Offering modern furnishings with a contemporary feel, there is a bright and well-equipped kitchen, with a corner breakfast bar and picture windows to take in the views whilst relaxing over a leisurely breakfast! The comfortable sitting room is on the top floor to take full advantage of views over the harbour activities, and features a 50" TV so that you can catch up on your favourite programmes.
From the property, steps lead down right into the hustle and bustle of this popular port, with its quaint, narrow cobbled streets, rich array of tea rooms, pubs and restaurants and long, sandy beaches.
Climb the 199 steps up to the famous Whitby Abbey, or take a bracing, exhilarating walk along the Cleveland Way clifftop trail.
The surrounding area offers a wealth of attractions including the steam railway at Grosmont, the Danby Moors Centre and pretty villages such as Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes.
With easy access to the market towns of Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley, this attractive cottage is a superb base for a memorable holiday.

Kirkby House is a delightful semi-detached cottage located alongside the harbour in the town of Whitby, and the North York Moors and Coast. With three bedrooms, including one double, a single and a twin, this cottage can sleep five people. The rest of the cottage includes a bathroom, a cloakroom, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. Outside, there is roadside parking available on a first come, first served basis, and an enclosed courtyard garden. Kirkby House is ideally-situated to enjoy all of the delights of this fantastic seaside town, and the surrounding beauty of the North York Moors National Park. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Please note: The owner will only accept week long bookings during the peak season. Please note: This property only accepts 7-night stays in the high season (April-September).

Beautiful place. Had everything you needed views amazing from the living room. The single room on the ground floor, the beds not even a single bed, way to small for an adult man. May be needs a proper bed putting in there. Not even a proper mattress. Summer quilts need changing to winter ones in winter .

Great location, just minutes easy from both the Abbey and the town. The property itself is so well thought out and planned. Parking available nearby on a very pleasant gentleman's driveway. Recommend 100%!

A very comfortable stay. The house is well equipped and a good standard. The outdoor area will be a lovely spot in the summer. The parking for the house is a bonus as parking in Whitby can be tricky.
