Rarely is it possible to stay in an historic and significant property, but One Masons Court is just that - the oldest house in Stratford upon Avon.
Dating back to the 15th Century this venerable and incredibly beautiful building is bang in the centre of one of England's most important (historically) towns.
Located approx 1 min level walk from Stratford's High Street you are a heartbeat from the centre with plenty of things to do and keep you occupied.
Step off the main street, through a private walkway and suddenly the town is behind you, and you enter a small courtyard shared with a few other historic homes, peace! Inside, it is meticulously presented - smart furnishings and colours mix well with incredible period features to create a light home ideal for families as much as couples.
The kitchen has everything you need, should decide to 'stay in' and cook (why would you...?!). The cosy living area has seating for four people with a 42in wall mounted TV. Up the old stairs to two good sized bedrooms and a great, contemporary bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower - all with slick chrome fittings.
As "bolt-holes" go this is as good as we have EVER seen.

One Masons’ Court is a historic house located in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. It dates back to the 15th century and has been meticulously presented with smart furnishings which complement the incredible period features to make it a warm and welcoming holiday home. It has a living room with an open fire, a fitted kitchen with a dining area. Upstairs has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with a separate bathroom and WC. There is a small shared courtyard outside the property. PLEASE NOTE: parking is available for one car in the nearby NCP car park.. One Masons’ Court is perfect for small families.
Please note: Dogs must be kept on a lead in the courtyard.
Parking for your stay is in a nearby secure NCP carpark. There is a short stay parking bay next to Masons Court which you can use to drop off your bags and pick up the parking pass from the cottage.
Please Note: The Stratford Mop Fair is held on 12 October each year. There may be some road closures and alternative traffic management.

Cozy cottage inside such a historical building. Perfect place for a weekend to be transported back to another place and time. Property was well equipped, good bedding and as described. Very good location for both Stratford Upon Avon and exploring northern parts of the Cotswolds.

Privilege to stay in such a historic property, and so very close to the town centre and all it offers. The stairs are steep and took a while to get used to but the property is lovely with all you need. We knew parking would be in a public car park - that was the only down side for us, although it was very close.

There wasn't anywhere we could recycle items. Very important these days!
I would like to have been able to have direct contact with the owner, rather than going through an agent.
We had a lovely time and may well try and book again.
