Hillcrest is a charming redbrick semi-detached property, lovingly wrapped up in the Nottinghamshire countryside, in a small hamlet known as Cottam, near Retford.
With horses grazing in the fields nearby and the sounds of wildlife all around, you can bring your other half, or a group of friends, to indulge in this beautiful location.
You have cycling routes right on the doorstep and an extensive garden to enjoy the summer evenings.
You will get a true feel for the property as you step inside and are welcomed into the kitchen, home to a dining table in one corner, and a selection of appliances to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Spoil yourselves to an afternoon tea, which you can order from the owners who have their very own catering business preparing delicious baked goods.
An evening or two can be whiled away in the living room in front of the cosy electric fire, with the TV providing some light entertainment before heading up to bed.
Upstairs, find two bright and airy super-king size bedrooms, one of which can be twins on request should you prefer this layout.
You will find the bathroom back on the ground floor next to the utility, where a bubble bath can be enjoyed after a long day trekking the area, as well as hosting a shower over, basin and WC.
Original beams add character and charm to this property, and double doors open out onto the beautiful garden.
Take advantage of the outdoor space by enjoying a spot of al fresco dining on the patio while you canine companion runs and stretches on the luscious lawn.
Find a few country pubs dotted around the area, the closest being in Rampton village, where you will find a handful of shops, cafés and restaurants so you can stop for a bite before setting off on another adventure.
There is plenty to see and do all around, with the enchanting Sherwood Forest close by, home to the Major Oak and the legend of Robin Hood.
You are also ideally located on the border to Lincolnshire with the River Trent passing through; The proprty is only a couple of fields away from the Trent and within easy walking distance of the banks, making it the perfect location for bird watchers and a dog walkers paradise.
Children will enjoy the nearby Sundown Adventureland children's theme park, whilst the market town of Newark and village of Hemswell are known for their antique centres.
Visit the National Trust's Clumber Park, or spend a morning strolling around Gainsborough and Doddington Old Halls, both just a drive away.
Days out can be spent in the cities of Lincoln or Nottingham and even at the Peak District National Park or Lincolnshire Wolds AONB for something different.
Why not spend an afternoon exploring the City of Caves in Nottingham, a vast sandstone maze situated underground where you can learn about the history of the caves while discovering the fascinating dwellings.
Railway enthusiasts will enjoy Gainsborough Model Railway which is within easy reach by car, or perhaps venture out to Sherwood Forest Railway for a miniature railway experience suitable for all ages.
A stay at Hillcrest is just what you need for a flavour of everything in a charming part of the UK.
