Chippy Cottage is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold stone cottage, dating back to the 17th century, located in the heart of the well-known market town of Chipping Norton. The cottage is the perfect homely base for exploring the lovely Cotswolds as a group of six or in conjunction with neighbouring Garden Cottage for larger groups.
A raised footpath leads you up to the front door of Chippy Cottage, which opens into a small hallway and into a warm and inviting sitting room that has lovely exposed Cotswold stone walls, oak beams and an inglenook fireplace with a warming woodburning stove and a unique, traditional bread oven; providing a welcoming and tranquil space for you and your loved ones to sink into the inviting sofas and watch a film using the DVD player connected to the Apple TV.
The chef of the group can rustle up a delicious evening meal in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, which is a small space that has been cleverly designed to maximise the available space, home to a wooden dining table for you to enjoy your meals at whilst toasting to your holiday ahead.
A handy utility room sits adjacent to the kitchen/diner containing a convenient dishwasher, microwave and washing machine so you can leave with a bag full of clean clothes!
When night falls, wooden stairs lead you up to the first floor where you are welcomed by a peaceful reading area with a bathroom at the end of the hall and two bedrooms, the first of which is a spacious, well-presented room with ample storage, a Smart TV, a quaint window seat and a king-size bed, the second has an eye-catching oak timbered wall, a sweet window seat and twin beds.
An attractive staircase with attractive exposed wall and rope handrail guides you up to the eaves of the property where you will find the inviting third bedroom with lovely oak beams, wooden flooring, a Smart TV and a king-size bed.
Once you laid your head to rest for the night, enjoy your morning coffee in the small courtyard garden and soak up the morning sun and fresh country air and get ready for the day before heading out to the centre of Chipping Norton and enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Tea Set, before heading to Chipping Norton museum for a touch of history or on warmer days have a fun-filled day at Chippy Lido, before having a wonderful evening meal at one of the many pubs that sit within Chipping Norton such as The Red Lion and The Fox.
A short car journey will bring you to Chadlington where you will be able to indulge in delicious hamburgers, cool draft beers, lagers, ciders and rosé, and also the interesting cow juice at Diddly Squat Farm!
Nearby Kingham is a peaceful and secluded village, an excellent centre for walking and cycling with a number of walks and cycle rides centred on the village, set in the broad Evenlode valley with wide open village greens and a village shop, a church and two pubs; The Kingham Plough and The Wild Rabbit.

Note: Logs for the woodburning stove are provided between October and March; guests must purchase their own outside of these months. Note: Guests with children should note that the front door of the property opens directly onto the public pavement outside (the pavement is raised above the road and has railings on it). Note: This is an old property and has many character features, including narrow and steep stairs, low beams and multiple floors, which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility.
