A semi-detached cottage resting in the picturesque seaside town of Southwold, Suffolk, 5 Blackshore is ideal for a family looking to explore the coast and countryside scenery.

When it comes to relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book, 5 Blackshore has you covered, with the option of settling down beside a welcoming woodburning stove in the sitting room, a fantastic conservatory room with a view across the local scenery and seas of natural light, and there is also a patio sporting a table and chairs, ideal for enjoying the sunshine and dining alfresco. 5 Blackshore has an amply fitted kitchen, where you can cook a heart-warming meal, and enjoy it in the sitting room, with wooden furniture painted green and countryside paintings, this space is full of coastal cottage character.

When sleep calls, freshen up in the bathroom before choosing one of the three bedrooms to settle down for the night in, beginning with a double with an en-suite, as well as two twin rooms.

Southwold is a fantastic coastal town with so much on offer for guests, beginning with the extensive Denes Beach, where watersports, wild swimming and walks in the salty air can be enjoyed, and why not take a picnic and soak up the views? Southwold has an array of independent shops and tasty eateries, so you can sample local produce and enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine.

A little further from the property you will find RSPB Minsmere, where beautiful scenery and plentiful wildlife will encourage you to take a walk through the countryside.

A great facility let down by some fairly basic faults. The welcome binder had out‑of‑date information, which made the initial evening tedious. There was also a safety aspect, as the fire door information was inaccurate and potentially dangerous. Perhaps this is why there was no visitors’ book.

Had a really comfortable holiday in No.5 Blackshore. It was lovely (after a long journey) to arrive to a warm ,cosy and welcoming cottage.The wine,tea,coffee and biscuits were a delight! The cottage is well equipped, lovely and warm with fantastic views. Overall, a fabulous stay.! Thank-you. Only one criticism....the internet was a problem.

Just had a very relaxing holiday in No.5 Blackshore Road. The cottage is very comfortable with great views over the river on one side and the marshes on the other. There is always something to see! It is cosy, warm and spacious and well equipped. Looking forward to visiting again.
