Rurally set within Witheridge, a charming countryside village in Devon is Hope House Stables, a stone-fronted cottage.
Affording far-reaching nature-filled views and a convenient location near an array of amenities, whilst offering flexible sleeping arrangements, a large garden with hot tub and barbecue, and a warm interior, the cottage welcomes six guests and two well-behaved dogs, ideal for couples, friends, and families.
Enter the property into the warm and welcoming sitting room, featuring plush seating and Smart TV, offering the ideal space to enjoy a film.
Head into the kitchen/diner, contemporarily finished with all expected appliances and a charming splashback, featuring a map of the local area.
On warmer evenings, discover the rear garden, where you can dine alfresco, prepare a barbecue, or take a long soak in the hot tub, before returning indoors for a quick refresh in either the ground floor shower room or bathroom.
The cottage is complete with three well-presented bedrooms, offering the epitome of flexibility, including a ground-floor twin (zip/link), a double, and a twin, providing a space for all types of groups.
As the sun rises, enjoy a morning coffee upon the front courtyard before heading into Witheridge to explore the local area.
Witheridge is visited every other saturday by a Thai food van, pizza van on Wednesday's and fish & chip shop van on Fridays.
If you are looking for fine dining for that special occasion, a private in-house chef is bookable on request (further details available from the owner after booking). By car, reach Tiverton and its array of attractions, including Knightshayes Court, a grand National Trust property, Tiverton Castle, offering tours and a tearoom, Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life, and family-friendly trips at Devon Railway Centre.
South Molton is also a popular area to plan into your itinerary, home to Quince Honey Farm, where you can produce your very own jar of honey, and South Molton & District Museum, where you can brush up on your local knowledge, whilst South Molton Community Woodland is a recommended landscape for those who enjoy countryside walks and hikes, there is also the popular Pannier Market on Thursday and Saturdays.
Hope House Stables is well-positioned to reach Dartmoor National Park, possible to reach by car, peppered with hidden gems, nature reserves and beauty spots, recommended to pack your walking boots for. Keen walkers can also join the walk 'The Two Moors Way' from Lynton to Bixham as it passes through Witheridge.

The living areas in this property consist of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and a sitting room with Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor twin (zip/link), a double, and a twin, with a ground-floor shower room and a bathroom. Outside there is a courtyard with furniture, a rear garden with patio, lawn, furniture, barbecue, shared access to lawn for exercising dogs and hot tub, and off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. You'll find both a shop and a pub in 0.1 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Hope House Stables is a charming base, well-positioned to explore Devon. Note: The owner’s property is located next door. Note: The owners may occasionally need to access the courtyard to use the outdoor tap. Note: No stag or hen parties or similar. Note: This property will only accept Monday or Friday check ins between May and September. Please note: this property is sadly not wheelchair friendly

We felt very welcomed on arrival at Hope House Stables, to be met by the owner, the cream tea and fresh flowers that were left in the cottage. Much appreciated after a long 7-hour journey. The accommodation was warm and welcoming and was well equipped with all we required. The hot tub was an added bonus and we made good use of this during our stay.

We stayed as a family with our dog. Hope house stables is very comfortable and beautifully decorated and maintained. Lovely arrival gifts of fresh flowers, milk and a very welcome cream tea! The only improvement would be a more secure enclosed garden for the dog. The village pub is very convenient and does an excellent Sunday lunch.
