A modern (2023), stylish, spacious ground-floor apartment and surfer's paradise, sits a literal stone's throw from the beach in the vibrant seaside town of Southbourne.
Enjoying a close situation to Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole, Mary Bowes Terrace offers an excellent escape for up to four guests.
Upon arrival you are greeted by a designated parking space directly outside the front door, so you can easily unload your belongings and take advantage of the convenient shared storage room which is just perfect for storing bicycles.
Step into the open-plan living space, uplifted by natural lighting from the sliding doors, this is the social hub of the home where all can gather and reflect on the day's events.
Cross over to the kitchen, where you can switch the hob on and get to work on a hearty dish, serving the fruits of your labour at the dining table.
After a filling supper, collapse on the sofa and decide on a film to watch on the 4k Smart TV. The bedrooms include a double and a twin with zip/link beds for added flexibility.
When leaving please leave all dirty linen and towels in bathroom.
Awaken from a leisurely slumber and start the morning with a refreshing rinse in the bathroom, before heading to a nearby convenience store and grabbing the essentials for a hearty breakfast.
Remember to pack your beach bag as just 100 yards away lies seven miles of award-winning, family-friendly Blue Flag Beaches, offering all kinds of watersports including paddleboarding, kayaking and surfing.
Southbourne is a vibrant costal town, packed with eateries, bars and essential convenience stores for all of your needs.
Mary Bowes terrace is just a short walk from the busy high street, whilst maintaining easy access to the main roads to Bournemouth and further west along the Jurassic coast.
This southern gem is also accessible to the South Western railway line from central London at Pokesdown station, a simple drive from Mary Bowes Terrace.
Southbourne beach is easily accessible, just a short walk from the property.
Before you head down, the over cliff boasts a luxurious bird's eye view of 7 miles of beautiful coast line.
A little further East, Boscombe Pier is the perfect vantage point for watching surfers, partaking in your own water sports or grabbing a bite and a drink from a choice of high quality bars and restaurants on the sea front.
Christchurch is another historic town to visit with award-winning beaches, coastal nature reserve and heritage attractions including Christchurch Castle ruins and Christchurch Priory.
The New Forest is well within a driving distance (10-15 mins) as well as the prestigious Lulworth cove and Durdle door a slightly further stretch (45-60 mins). Arguably the finest attractions on the Jurassic coast! The city of Bournemouth can’t be missed, home to a great nightlife scene with many bars, comedy clubs, theatres, casinos and plenty of spots to catch live music.

dining seating and a Smart TV (TV channels accessed via the apps available). The bedrooms include a double and a twin (zip/link), serviced by a bathroom. To the outside is a designated parking space for one car. Within 0.5 miles or less there is a shop, pub and beach within 500 yards and please note that this is a pet-free and non-smoking property. Superfast WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Mary Bowes Terrace is a splendid retreat, whatever time of year. Note: Shared storage available for surf boards and equipment.

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable accommodation. Well equipped. Location brilliant. The only minor complaint was how the noise from the upstairs flat was intrusive. We were woken up a couple of nights by the noise of people moving around at 4.30 in the morning. Not sure if the ceilings are too thin.

Generally very nice and with a welcome packet. In December it was a bit difficult to keep the whole property warm. We could not access the rubbish disposal room. The access has been changed to a number code lock. This needs looking at.

Our second time of staying here and cannot stress how much thought has gone into setting up this home from home. So many extras including everything you need for the beach!! As others have said TV a bit hard to work out but if a 70 year old tech dinosaur can do it anyone can. Short walk to beach, shops and bus stops but so quiet. Many thanks to owners for welcome basket.
