Beach Lawn House was originally built in 1860 for Mr Thomas Henry Ismay founder of the Oceanic Steam Navigation Company, more commonly known as the White Star Line.
His son Bruce Ismay lived at the house until he was 13 , he eventually took over the running of the White Star line when his father retired.
After commissioning the build of RMS Titanic, in 1912, he came to international attention as the highest-ranking White Star official to survive the sinking of the ship for which he was subject to severe criticism.
The Ismay Dining room suite is situated in what used to be the main dining room for the Ismay Family.
Boasting historic elegancy, original stained-glass windows and attention to detail, this suite is an exceptional base for four persons looking to breakaway to this coastal Sefton region.

Excellent accommodation . Cooking facilities exactly as described in advertising . Wonderful host , great location easy parking. Super comfy beds and seating. Great for dog walks, beach and garden park just across the road . T.V has everything you need if you’re unlucky with weather variations of apps etc. Will go again.

Facility was as expected . Interesting to read about the history , good views across the river and dunes . If you are lucky , can get some fabulous sunsets here , with good coastal walks . Only minor criticism may be the sofa is saggy / tired , everything else great . Fab period bathroom . All in all a treat to be here

Second time we have stayed here. Great accommodation and location. Very comfortable place to stay, always warm and cosy. A few minutes from the beach and good pubs and restaurants. Also very easy to get to Liverpool on the train, and no issues parking close to the house.
