Layout
This 12 person group accommodation with central (floor) heating has a Scandinavian look and feel and is on the ground floor throughout. When you enter the hall, you immediately find four bedrooms with two single beds. Two of these bedrooms also have a bunk bed. The shared bathroom consists of a toilet, washbasin, shower and bath. When you walk further, you enter the living room where a lot of light and space is created. Here you will find a nice sitting area with a wood stove and a television. From the living room you have a beautiful view of the countryside. The separate kitchen and dining room have a large table with seating for 12 people. The kitchen is equipped with a filter coffee machine, Nespresso, a kettle, a microwave, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a cooker, kitchen utensils and a dishwasher. In the kitchen you will also find access to the utility room, where you will find a washing machine, dryer and access to a second shower room.
From the living room you can easily enter the garden through swing doors. The terrace is equipped with pleasant garden furniture and there is a barbecue / outdoor fireplace at your disposal. In the garden there is enough space to run and romp.
Here you will also find the wellness square with a large traditional wood-fired 'barrel sauna' with enough room for the whole family or group of friends. The hot tub is located under the rustic atmospheric roof. It is a comfortable large bath for 10/12 people where it is lovely to stay. Because of its extra elevated seat you can also sit halfway in the water, this is also an ideal place for smaller children. An external wood-burning stove allows you to heat the hot tub quickly. Complete with bubble system for optimal enjoyment. An outdoor shower and relaxing chairs make this discreet relaxation spot complete for an unforgettable weekend or (mid)week. There is parking space for three cars next to the accommodation.

The minimum age of the main booker for this holiday home is 25 years.
If your departure day is on a sunday, you can check out till 19:00
This property is not suitable as a party venue and cannot be booked for parties.
Energy costs include use of wood for the sauna, hot tub and wood stove.
Bringing your pet is on request. If you bring a pet, an additional cleaning fee will be charged. This is EUR 25 per stay.
The group accommodations have a television with standard public channels. You can rent a smartcard for the commercial channels at the park. It is also possible to bring your own digitenne smartcard from home. The family house has a satellite dish connection with Netflix.
Most facilities at Recreatiepark De Sikkenberg are open from April to October.

Recreatiepark De Sikkenberg is a Chr. Familiepark which has a launderette where you can wash your dirty laundry. The mini-supermarket on the park offers coffee, tea, soft drinks, crisps, sweets, sandwich fillings and the basic products for a hot meal. The park has a charging point for your electric bicycle(s).

Catering
During the school holidays, you can visit Main Building de Eendekoel'n for a game of billiards or a snack or a tasty meal.

Sports and games
Recreatiepark De Sikkenberg has various sports fields, including a volleyball and basketball court. There is also a Jeu de Boules pitch. There are various playing fields on the holiday park with fun climbing frames or a water playground. A large air cushion (air trampoline) is also set up regularly. During the summer holidays, there is a recreational programme at the park, led by an enthusiastic team focusing on the Bible. There is also an animal pasture with donkeys, geese, various types of poultry, goats, sheep and ducks.

Swimming
The holiday park has a nice outdoor swimming pool. You can visit a subtropical swimming paradise in Stadskanaal or Veendam.

Television and internet
In the rental accommodations, you have a television with standard public channels. You can rent a smartcard for the commercial channels at the park. It is also possible to bring your own digitenne smartcard from home. The family house has a satellite dish connection with Netflix. As a guest of the park, you will receive an access card for WiFi. Additional access cards can be purchased through reception.

The gardens of Weldadigheid are also a feast for the eyes. As a music lover, you can visit Museum Musica, but Bourtange is also fun to visit. A day out with the kids?
