The town of Tar-Torre is located along the main road that connects Poreč and Novigrad. It is a fertile plateau that leans towards the sea on one side and the mouth of the Mirna river on the other. From this place there is a spectacular view of Novigrad in the north and Poreč in the south. On a sunny day you can see the Alps, and even Venice from the top of the Tar bell tower. This region is known for its exceptional olive oil. Experts have stated that the best quality olive oil in Europe comes from those regions, from the Larun olive grove below Tar-Torre. In the summer months, the place is filled with tourists who are attracted by the pristine nature and clear sea on the Lanterna peninsula, a famous tourist center with lots of entertainment for visitors.
