Iris Garden Cottage is a comfortable single-floor unit on the ground floor with a garden and an open courtyard. It is situated in the historical town of Saint Germain-en-Laye, where the Sun King Louis XIV was born. His birthplace, Chateau de Saint Germain, a grand medieval palace, is just 1 km away. Surrounded by verdant forests all around, where one can see deer and wild boar, and parks, this town provides ample opportunities for those seeking nature and a bustling town centre. Situated within fifteen kilometres of Versailles and twenty-eight kilometres from Paris, with direct rapid trains to Paris throughout the day, as well as an efficient bus and tram service to all the surrounding towns, including Versailles and Maisons-Laffitte, in addition to all the amenities of a city, it is an ideal getaway from the busy city life.
Saint Germain-en-Laye is great for shopping as well, in addition to the regular brands and shops, one can also enjoy the open air markets several times a week, where organic and artisanal products are sold.
