From Lauterbach, you can plan excellent day trips to nearby Putbus, the picturesque island of Vilm or trips on the historic narrow-gauge railroad to the well-known seaside resorts of Sellin, Binz, Baabe and Göhren.
However, the first stop for most visitors is the port of Lauterbach, where all the senses are attuned to maritime life. Here you can watch the hustle and bustle of shipyard workers, fishermen and sailors, breathe in the spicy Baltic Sea air, stroll between the beach and thatched-roof houses or stop off at a cozy harbour café and eat freshly caught herring with a view of the sea.
Inspired by the princely past of the seaside resort of Putbus with its classicist snow-white town houses and theaters, the extensive castle park with its restaurants also invites you to linger.
After long exploratory tours on foot or by bike around the Greifswald Bodden, you can round off your return to your home port with a cocktail in the Badehaus Goor.
The apartment is located on Rügen's over 100-year-old narrow-gauge railroad “Rasender Roland”. The Lauterbach Mole station is only a 3-minute walk away and can be used as a connection to the nearby spas.
