Welcome to your retreat in the heart of Kanton Glarus in the stunning Swiss alps. This spacious apartment for up to 8 guests is part of a lovingly renovated 200-year-old house, where historic character meets modern comfort.
The apartment extends across the first floor on one side and flows into a private garden on the other. With three bedrooms and three toilets, the home offers plenty of room and privacy — ideal for families and groups traveling together. Two bathrooms, featuring both a walk-in shower and a bathtub, provide comfort after a day of activity. A fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, capsule coffee machine, and dishwasher makes cooking easy, while a traditional cheminée in the living room creates a cozy gathering place.
Outdoors, the private garden is a highlight for both children and adults. Apple trees, a swing, and climbable trees invite little adventurers to play, while grown-ups can enjoy relaxed evenings at the beautiful outdoor fireplace and grill. Though the house lies along a street, the garden feels sheltered and calm, with views of the surrounding mountains and quick access to the mountain forest.
For active guests, this is a perfect base. Covered and lockable bicycle storage makes cycling convenient, while hiking trails begin right at the edge of the woods. In winter, a ski school and cross-country skiing tracks lie just 13 km away, and a beautiful mountain lake awaits in summer at less than 10 km.
Shops, groceries, and the nearest town centre are only a short distance away (1–2 km), and the town of Glarus is easily reached. Zurich is reached in 1 hour by train or car.
